Welterweight and middleweight champion of the world with a record of 104 and 4, he died in a plane crash en route to America for a rematch with then-champion Jake LaMotta. Vintage glossy 6 x 8.5 close-up photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen in French (translated): “To the great painter ‘Nivernais’ with all my admiration, Marcel Cerdan, le 34-7-47.” In very good condition, with trimmed edges and scattered creasing.
